Oggi ho deciso di portarvi a casa di una cara amica di famiglia.
Maria è una persona deliziosa e ovviamente, amante dello Stile Shabby Chic, che ha contribuito alla nascita e alla crescita di Bianco e Shabby, interessandosi fin da subito ai pezzi ristrutturati sostenibilmente da me e Ivonne, e facendo suo il concetto del recupero, dedicandosi con passione all’arte del "fai da te".

Today I'll get you at Maria's house.
She is a dear family friend, lover of the Shabby Chic Style. She has contributed to the birth and growth of the Bianco e Shabby project, dealing immediately to our recycled and sustainable pieces, making its own the recycled concept, getting involved into the "do it yourself" hobby.

When I entered the house, a family entrance welcomes me: this is one of the first pieces renovated by Bianco e Shabby.

Anche questo etagere e questi porta cd sono stati recuperati da Bianco e Shabby, ma purtroppo non ho le foto del prima, ma credetemi, erano veramente conciatissimi.
Also these etagere and cd holder have been restored by Bianco e Shabby, but unfortunately I can't show you how they were before, but, believe me, they were really awful.

Spiccano le rose, suo fiore preferito, che compare nel tessuto di tende e divani e nelle stampe.
There are a lot of roses in this house, because the rose is Maria favourite flowers. In fact it appears on the fabric of the curtains and sofas and on the posters on the wall.

La sala è inoltre impreziosita da un meraviglioso tappeto Aubusson bordeaux, che si sposa alla perfezione con il color cappuccino delle pareti.
In the living room there's also a great bordeaux Aubusson carpet, which match perfectly with the cappuccino- colored walls.

Come vi dicevo prima, la nostra amica è ormai espertissima nell'arte del "fai da te"...guardate infatti questi cuscini: Maria li ha ricavati da vecchie tende abbandonate in solaio.
As I said before, our friend is now very expert in the art of "do it yourself"...look at these pillows: Maria has made it using old curtains left in the attic.

Entrando in cucina, ci accolgono tanti galletti, che ci riportano alle cucine americane di un tempo.
In the kitchen there are a lot of roosters which remind me at old american kitchens.

Maria mi racconta che ha cucito lei stessa anche le fodere dei cuscini delle sedie, utilizzando la stoffa di vecchie federe.
Maria tells me that she has made herself even the chair covers, using the cloth of old pillowcases.

Finalmente arriviamo nella camera da letto, la parte senza dubbio più romantica e intima della casa.
Finally we entered the most romantic and intimate room of the house...Maria's bedroom.

Per questa stanza Maria ha scelto le tonalità del rosa, e anche qui si è personalmente occupata della realizzazione dei cuscini sul letto.
In this bedroom, Maria has choose different shades of pink, and even here she has made the pillow on the bed.
